Final game until OCTOBER!
2 weeks ago we had 18 teams, last week, we had 7. DA HEK???
INFLATED PRIZE! Game is ON TONIGHT! $60 1st Place!
If the fear of crowds scared off players and teams from coming out last week, those fears were completely unfounded! The indoor section was empty, the outdoor courtyard featuring the beautiful new astroturf area was empty... parking was the same as usual... so what gives? Pemberton Bunch did NOT come out, yet I thought only the leaders were away?
Well, friends, this is it! Tonight is the final game until October. Let's ALL WEAR OUR DOGFISH GEAR for this final game! (If you have some.) Shirts, hats, whatever you got that says DOGFISH HEAD, Wear it! 3 bonus points to any team whose half or more players is wearing DOGFISH stuff.
Photos were uploaded a few days after the game on 5/15, so here's hoping you beat the writing of this blurb to claim your photo bonus points! The teams who beat the deadline and will get 2 points for COMMENTING on the posted pics are: Here for the Beer, The Know Nothings, Team Sixpack, & The Hippy Shakes. Know Nothings were on top at the half and they brought along a magic dog to aid their cause. Here for the Beer were pretty close by in 2nd and Unskilled Labor lurked about in 3rd. So, being the final game for a few months, express your feelings with a Haiku poem you can either hand to John or scrawl in the drawing space. 3 points or 4 if using multiple colors.
Going into the final, Know Nothings had expanded their lead by a little and were rubbing the dog like a buddha belly. Here for the Beer held the #2 spot while Hippy Shakes displaced Unskilled Labor for 3rd.
