I used to have a regular team at a game in Smyrna that reminds me of The Know Nothings. They are very smart players with good memories and were often found at or near the top of the field at halftime and going into the final... then they would end the game in the middle of the crowd. They changed their name to "Final Question Failures." But they came to enjoy the game and had a great attitude toward winning or not winning. They said, 'losing' was not having fun and they ALWAYS had fun. Cheers to that!
14 Teams joined us last week lead at the halftime by, you guessed it, The Know Nothings. It was a slim lead as Sussex In Paradise, a brand new team to Dogfish Head, were 1 point back in 2nd place. Last Week's winners, The Boy(s) was (were) also quite close in 3rd by a point. What a hot competition we had! For your Round 2 Secret Art Bonus, draw a clock to represent the Daylight Saving change. 2 or more colors=4 points, otherwise, 3.
Photos were uploaded last week, so here's hoping you beat the writing of this blurb to claim your photo bonus points! The teams who beat the deadline and will get 2 points for COMMENTING on the posted pics are: Team Six Pack, Foxes & Hounds, Team Ginny, Pemberton Bunch, Know Nothings, & Hippy Shakes. Some teams had "likes" but that won't get you the 2 points. To beat the Blurb, you have to comment on the photos before Monday morning. So be sure you LIKE/FOLLOW our facebook page and be sure to look for your selfie posting. Naming your team within your post helps me identify you for the extra points the next week.
Again, going into the final question, The Know Nothings had managed to expand their lead to 7 points over a three-way pile-up between Unskilled Labor, Sussex in Paradise, and The Boy(s). So, we had last week's winning team, a brand new team, and the house team all gunning for Know Nothings and the top spot.
MONDAYS ARE GOURMET HOT DOG DAY - but it feels like a pizza day to me, I dunno...
Then along came the final question and our Top Teams:
7] Unskilled Labor
6] HereForTheBeer
5] Sussex in Paradise
4] The Hippy Shakes (solo edition)
3] $10 The Hershey's on Spring Break
2] $20 Six Pack
1] $40 The Boy(s)
The Boys' inclusion of teammates of various age-ranges have once again come down with the Trophy, but it wasn't a slam-dunk! They risked 20 points on the final in a hail-Mary and found their intended receiver! OK, y'all, we don't want a dynasty... let's unseat The Boys this week!
